ASRock as part of the COMPUTEX 2021 digital exhibition, which opened on May 31, announced the world’s thinnest desktop computer with AMD Ryzen 5000U processor – a device called Mars 5000U.
The novelty is enclosed in a housing with dimensions of 194 × 150 × 26 mm, the volume of which is only 0.7 liters. It is possible to install two DDR4 SO-DIMM RAM modules with a total volume of up to 64 GB.
Inside there is a place for one 2.5-inch storage with a thickness of 7 or 9.5 mm. In addition, the Ultra M.2 solid-state module can be installed with the PCIe 3.0 X4 or SATA 3.0 interface.
The equipment includes an Intel Wi-Fi Wi-Fi 6 AX200, Gigabit LAN network controller and SD / SDHC / SDXC reader. The interface set includes a USB port port 3.2 Gen1 Type-C, four USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, two USB 2.0 Type-A connectors, HDMI and D-Sub connectors for image output, standard audio access.
