The European company Schenker Technologies introduced two updated gaming laptops under the XMG brand – XMG Neo 15 and Neo 17. Both new items are ready to offer high-performance eight-core processors Intel Tiger Lake-H45, as well as discrete graphics accelerators GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU in maximum versions, that is, TDP level up to 165 watts.
The presented laptops are equipped with IPS displays with a diagonal of 15.6 and 17.3 inches, respectively. The choice of screens options with a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels and the update frequency of 165 Hz, as well as with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels and a 240 Hz update frequency. For displays, the peak brightness indicator 350 cd / m2 and 95 percent coverage of the SRGB color space.
The basis for each model is an eight-core Intel Core i7-11800H processor with a claimed operating frequency range from 2.3 to 4.6 GHz. The manufacturer offers the installation of up to 64 GB of the RAM of the DDR4-3200 MHz standard, as well as up to two NVME drives, the truth does not indicate their maximum volume.
The selection of the graphic subsystem at the XMG NEO 15 and Neo 17 game laptops is quite wide. Both models can be equipped with mobile versions of GEFORCE RTX 3060 video cards with 6 GB of video memory, GeForce RTX 3070 with 8 GB of memory or flagship GeForce RTX 3080 with 16 GB of memory and declared TDP to 165 (150 W nominal + 15 W for Dynamic Boost technology).
The additional equipment of the XMG NEO 15 and Neo 17 game laptops includes one ThunderBolt 4 connectors (USB Type-C with the DisplayPort function), one USB 3.2 Type-a Gen2 and USB 3.2 Type-A Gen1, as well as one HDMI interface 2.1 . In addition, the novelties received two audio sections of 3.5 mm for headphones and microphone and equipped with a card reader with support for SD, SDHC and SDXC formats.
The network capabilities of the XMG NEO 15 and Neo 17 and NEO 17 presented to the XMG NEO 15 and NEO 17 game systems provide 2.5-Gbps LAN network connectors, as well as support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5 wireless standards.
The expected initial cost of each model will be about 1949 euros. Deliveries of laptops should begin by the end of June of the current year.
