DFI introduced a curious novelty – the CS551 device: this is, as stated, the world’s first 3.5-inch single-board computer with the function of automatic heating. This solution allows the product to work in extreme conditions.
The novelty, made in the form of a board with dimensions of 146 × 102 mm, is endowed with a built-in heater, providing stable operation or cold start of the system at temperatures up to minus 30 degrees Celsius.
Intel Core processor an eighth or ninth generation can be installed – up to the Core i7-9700Te chip with eight nuclei. Depending on the modification, active or passive cooling is applied.
A computer can carry up to 32 GB of RAM DDR4-2666 in the form of one SO-DIMM module. There is a full-size MINI PCIE slot, a SIM card connector (optionally available 3G / 4G modem) and connector M.2 for a solid-state format module 2280.
The novelty has a REALTEK ALC262 audible codec, 1GBE two-port network controller, four USB 3.1 ports and two DP interfaces. It is said about compatibility with Windows 10 IOT Enterprise and Linux software platforms.
The computer is suitable for use in the spheres of video surveillance, internet of things, industrial automation, visual analytics, etc.
